MyBag – Indústria de Papel, S.A. aims to be a reference company in the national and international market in the design and production of paper bags.
To achieve this, the Management is aware of the importance of its commitment and contribution to the proper functioning and integration of all areas of knowledge and expertise at MyBag, and therefore commits to supporting the execution of the different phases of implementation and maintenance of its Management System (MS) in accordance with the requirements and/or standards of Product Safety and Quality (BRC Global Standard Consumer Products - Personal Care and Household, including product safety, quality, legality, processes and specifications requirements; and others from clients); of the Chains of Custody of products originating from FSC© and PEFC Forests and Trees; of Health and Safety at Work (including buildings, machinery, and equipment); of Social Responsibility.
Thus, to ensure customer satisfaction and the consequent success and valuation of MyBag, as well as the production of safe products, environmental protection, and the implementation of processes that facilitate the continuous improvement of its MS, the Management commits to:
- Providing the necessary human, financial, and logistical resources;
- Investing in the Training of its workers to integrate them into the Culture of its MS according to the above-mentioned requirements and/or standards;
Complying with the legal conformity requirements and obligations applicable to its business area and products, whether from Clients and Consumers or other Stakeholders; of the aforementioned standards, or others.
It is through this Policy that MyBag defines, communicates, and invites all stakeholders to actively collaborate in the realization of this Intention and urges them to always keep in mind the following Values:

Commitment
Chain of Custody: PEFC (PEFC/13-31-155; Promoting Sustainable Forest Management) and FSC® (FSC® C142452)
MyBag - Indústria de Papel, S.A. directs its actions to ensure the satisfaction of its customers and other stakeholders, committing to environmental improvement and the protection and sustainability of the trees and forests of the planet, for present and future generations, and respect for the people involved in this business.
The Chain of Custody Management System developed and implemented based on PEFC and FSC® requirements, including social, health, and occupational safety requirements, aims to promote the consumption of materials from responsible sources that comply with all applicable legislation related to wood and its products, promoting the sustainable use of resources and contributing to the reduction of intensive forest exploitation..
MyBag also declares and ensures that its workers are not prevented from freely associating, choosing their representatives, or engaging in collective bargaining with the employer; its workers are not forced to work and there is no recourse to forced labor; it does not employ workers below the legal minimum age or the minimum compulsory school age; its workers have equal employment opportunities and receive equal treatment; and the working conditions do not compromise the safety or health of its workers.
The company also commits to take action to ensure that it is not directly or indirectly involved in illegal trade of wood or derived products, nor controversial wood and/or from controversial sources, including those originating from:
- "wood that has been traded at some point in the chain of custody by armed groups, whether rebel factions or soldiers, or by a civilian administration involved in armed conflicts or their representatives, either to prolong the conflict or for their own profit. (...) Controversial wood is not necessarily illegal," and the exploitation of wood can itself be a direct cause of conflict.
- activities that do not comply with local, national, or international legislation applicable to forest management, including, among others, forest management practices; nature and environmental protection; threatened and protected species; ownership, tenure, and rights of land use by indigenous peoples, local communities, or other affected stakeholders; health, labor, and safety issues; anticorruption and payment of applicable fees and taxes;
- activities in which the capacity of forests to sustainably produce a variety of wood and non-wood products is not maintained, or where harvesting levels exceed a rate that can be sustained in the long term;
- activities in which forest management does not contribute to the maintenance, conservation, or improvement of biodiversity in the landscape, ecosystem, species, or genetic levels;
- activities in which high ecological value forest areas are not identified, protected, conserved, or designated as set-asides;
- activities involving forest conversions, except in justified circumstances where the conversion: is in compliance with applicable national and regional policies and legislation regarding land use and forest management; has no negative impacts on high ecological value forest areas, areas of cultural and social significance, or other protected areas; does not destroy high carbon storage areas; and contributes to long-term conservation, economic, and/or social benefits;
- activities that do not respect the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (1998);
- activities that do not respect the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (2007);
- genetically modified trees.
This policy is promulgated to all stakeholders, must be complied with and enforced.
